Thistle is an annual or biennial herb that was originally born in southern Europe and north Africa. It has been cultivated and used in Europe and Africa for thousands of years and used for folk medicinal plants. The milk thistle is widely used as a medicine for liver disease and cardiovascular disease. The extract of the milk thistle is made from dried fruit of Silybum marianum G.
